The wife of Gary Coleman is speaking out after the actor’s death Friday in a Utah hospital.  In a statement read by her brother, Shannon Price thanked fans for support during Coleman’s time in the hospital.

A hospital spokeswoman confirmed that Coleman died at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.  She said he was surrounded by family and friends when he died. 

Coleman reportedly suffered a brain hemorrhage due to a fall.  Price also asked for privacy in her statement and said details about funeral arrangements will be released shortly.  Coleman was known for his work on the situation comedy  “Diff’rent Strokes.”
