The Urban Dictionary defines ‘Love Child’ as the illegitimate child of two adults conceived in a moment of passion.. . not to be confused with a ‘child of love’ which apparently is the exact opposite.  Here are some celebrities who have a love child or two.

1. Mathew Knowles

Mathew Knowles was accused of fathering a child with actress Alexsandra Wright while he was married to Tina Knowles. DNA proved he was the baby’s father, and he has been ordered to pay child support. Once again Knowles has been named as the father of another child. TaQuoya Branscomb, a lingerie model turned real estate agent has filed papers in Texas saying that Matthew Knowles fathered her daughter, born in 2010.

Another recent high-profile love child to date came in the form of baller Dwayne Wade’s baby with Aja Metoyer. The news came on the heels of his joyous announcement that he was engaged to longtime girlfriend Gabrielle Union. He claims that the child was conceived while he was on a break from Union, reports Hollywood Life. But Metoyer says they were also intimate when the pair was together.

3. Ludacris

The rapper, whose legal name is Christopher Bridges, recently admitted to fathering a secret child while on a break from his girlfriend of several years, Eudoxie. According to TMZ, sources have said Eudoxie is sticking by Ludacris and also admits the pair were on a break when the child was conceived. Luda is now facing an impending custody with the baby’s mother, Tamika Fuller.

4. Bow Wow

Rapper Bow Wow kept his daughter Shai Moss a secret until he posted an entry on is website about her birth during the summer of 2011. Before revealing the news, he had previously denied reports of fathering the child with video model Joie Chavis.

5. Busta Rhymes

Jill Miskelly filed suit against Busta Rhymes & the DNA results showed a 99.9964% chance he was the father.

6. Dan Marino

Dan Marino, the inspiration for the gallery, most recently admitted that he fathered a child out of wedlock in 2005 with a then-35-year-old CBS production assistant and paid her millions to keep quiet. (PR)

7. Brandon Howard (and mom)

Brandon held a press conference to announce he was the son of Michael Jackson and that he had a positive DNA test to prove it. However, the DNA result that allegedly proved the King of Pop fathered a 31-year-old singer named B Howard was a pathetic fake ripped straight from the Internet, TMZ reported.

8. DMX

DMX claimed that Monique Wayne must have raped him & got pregnant – he was ordered to pay 1.5M in damages plus child support. In a separate case, DMX was ordered to pay $5,000 a month to Davita Oden after DNA tests proved he was the father of her 4-year-old.

9. Hines Ward

Former NFL star Hines Ward is the father of a daughter, Jordyn, born in Janaury of 2011. He has openly admitted to being the father and has worked out an official agreement regarding support and custody. (PR)

10. Clint Eastwood

Before Clint Eastwood started talking to empty chairs, he was busy making love children. He has seven children with five different women. He had a daughter with actress/stuntwoman Roxanne Tunis, a son Scott and a daughter Kathryn with airline attendant Jacelyn Reeves and another daughter with actress Francis Fisher. He has three legitimate children as well. (PR)

11. Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne had a child with actress Lauren London in 2009 while he was in a relationship with ex-girlfriend Sarah Vivian. He has three additional children. (PR)

12. Oscar De la Hoya

Oscar De la Hoya has a daughter with Playboy model Shanna Moakler. In 2000, she filed a $62.5 million palimony suit against him. It was settled out of court. (PR)

13. Omer Bhatti

Many people were confused when little-known Norwegian rapper Omer Bhatti was in the front row at Michael Jackson’s 2009 memorial service. It was claimed Omer was Michael’s love child, and DNA tests are reportedly underway to prove it. The Jackson family have said they will welcome Omer into the fold if he turns out to be Michael’s son.

14. Gavin Rossdale

Gavin Rossdale was married and had two children with rocker Gwen Stefani when it emerged that he had fathered a love child to her friend Pearl Lowe years before. Gavin and Pearl had a fling when he was 23, but she assumed the baby was her boyfriend’s. When Daisy got older, the similarities became apparent and DNA proved Gavin was her father. 15. Rev. Jesse Jackson

Rev. Jesse Jackson had an affair with one of his staff, Karin Stanford, resulting in the birth of his daughter Ashley in 1999. (PR)

16. Antwaun Cook and Fantasia Barrino

Antwaun Cook and Fantasia Barrino had a baby together while he was married and still in a relationship with his wife Paula Cook. Fantasia gave birth to son, Dallas in December of 2011.

17. John Edwards

John Edwards fathered a daughter with campaign videographer Rielle Hunter. (PR)

18. Steve Jobs

Apple tycoon Steve Jobs had a child with girlfriend Chris-Ann Brennan in 1977 but didn’t acknowledge his daughter because he didn’t believe he was the father, according to biographers. He later paid for his daughter, Lisa, to go to Harvard. Today she’s a successful journalist and author. (PR)

19. Eddie Murphy

Eddie Murphy had a passionate seven-month romance with former Spice Girls singer Mel B, followed by a bitter and public break-up. Mel found out she was pregnant with Eddie’s child shortly after the split, but he demanded she get a paternity test. He was proven to be baby Angel’s father, but he didn’t meet his daughter for several years. (PR)

20. Steven Tyler

Steven Tyler and his model girlfriend Bebe Buell had a daughter, actress Liv Tyler, in 1977. Buell lied to Liv about her father’s paternity because he was addicted to drugs. Steven and Liv were later reunited and remain close today. (PR)

21. Akon

Music star Akon has reportedly taken responsibility and the necessary steps to becoming the legal father of two boys, although he has always supported them financially and emotionally. The boys were born in 2008 and in 2009. He has a total of six children. (PR)

22. Brian McKnight

Brian McKnight is paying child support on a 1-year-old boy bearing his name. (PR)

23. Strom Thurmond

Six months after his death it was revealed that the former senator (and segregationist) Strom Thurmond had an affair with his African American house maid at age 22 leading to the birth of his daughter Essie Mae Washington-Williams. (PR)

24. Arnold Schwarzenegger

The world was stunned when Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to having an affair with his housekeeper Mildred Baena, and even more shocked when it was revealed the union had resulted in a child. Their son Joseph is now a teenager. (PR)

25. Ravi Shankar

In 1979, world famous sitar player Ravi Shankar had an affair with concert promoter Sue Jones resulting in the birth of a daughter, singer Norah Jones. (PR)

26. Michael Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s father had an affair with a family friend in 1995, which resulted in a daughter. The girl is now 17. He has three other children, including Lindsay, with his ex-wife Dina. (PR)

27. ODB

ODB died in 2004 and his widow Icelene Jones stored his DNA just in case any baby mamas came forward. Smart lady.
