Ex- NFL All-Pro Safety, Darren Sharper, was sentenced to nine years in prison and lifetime probation following his guilty plea for sexually assaulting nine different women in four states.
According to ESPN, the former New Orleans Saint player entered his guilty plea with Arizona prosecutors and is scheduled to enter a new plea in Los Angeles court. While it seems like nine years is a little short considering the amount of cases against the standout defensive talent, hearings are still scheduled for next month in Las Vegas and later this week in Louisiana. This initial sentence may just be the beginning.
The 39-year-old is charged with drugging and sexually assaulting women while they were unable to resist or consent.
