As if a game winning shot to take a 2-1 series lead over the prohibitive favorite Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night wasn’t enough of a treat, fans at Sunday’s playoff game in Chicago were gifted an impromptu performance from Kanye West. The multiplatinum GRAMMMY Award-winner handled the Chicago Bulls pre-game introductions, and during a media timeout, West left his court side seat next to All-NBA great Scottie Pippen to perform the single “All Day.”

West is noted as a native of Chicago’s South Side. His mother, the late Dr. Donda West, was an English professor at Chicago State University. But Kanye also has a minor tie to the Cavaliers, as he was on hand at the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Connecticut in 2010 when Cleveland Cavaliers All-NBA forward LeBron James announced he was leaving Cleveland to join the Miami Heat.
