New York Liberty Sweeps WNBA All-Star Friday Night In Indianapolis

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis kicked off with thrilling performances in the Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest, showcasing the league’s top talent.

Natasha Cloud and Sabrina Ionescu, both representing the New York Liberty, emerged victorious.

Natasha Cloud claimed the Skills Challenge title with a display of speed, precision, and determination.

Despite missing all her three-point attempts, Cloud excelled in passing and agility, completing the first round in 34.1 seconds and narrowly defeating Seattle’s Erica Wheeler in the finals with a time of 35.6 seconds.

Cloud’s victory earned her a $2,575 prize, supplemented by an additional $55,000 from a partnership with Aflac and the players’ union.

Cloud plans to use her winnings for a down payment on a house.

Sabrina Ionescu lit up the court in the 3-Point Contest, delivering a stellar performance to secure her second title in three years.

Ionescu scored an impressive 30 points in the final round, outshooting defending champion Allisha Gray.

Her flawless execution, including a perfect moneyball rack, electrified the crowd and solidified her reputation as one of the league’s premier sharpshooters.

Ionescu’s victory added another $62,575 to her earnings, further cementing her legacy in the competition.
