One of the most anticipated tracks on Rihanna’s upcoming “Loud” album almost didn’t get recorded.  The pop superstar tells MTV News that she originally opposed getting back in the studio with Eminem for a sequel to their smash hit “Love The Way You Lie.”  She states, quote, “When I first heard the idea about doing a part two, I was just completely against it.  I just felt like you couldn’t beat the original.  There’s no way you can outdo that, so why compete with it?”  Rihanna says she began to change her mind when she heard a stripped down version of “Love The Way You Lie.”  The singer says they added some drums and Eminem’s vocals and she began to fall in love.  Rihanna adds that fans will really like Eminem’s verse, joking, quote, “Something is wrong with Eminem.  He has so much in his mind that I almost feel lucky for him that he has music.”

Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love The Way You Lie” is featured on Eminem’s “Recovery” album.  The track was released back in August, and went on to spend seven straight weeks atop the Hot 100.  The song’s second installment, “Love The Way You Lie (Part Two),” will be on Rihanna’s “Loud” album.  The record drops on November 16th.
