Rihanna Helps Alabama Tornado Victims
More help is on the way to Alabama’s tornado victims.
A special benefit concert starring pop superstar Rihanna on July 11th at Birmingham’s BJCC Arena will assist . The “Birmingham News” says proceeds from the concert will be given to the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham and distributed to tornado victim assistance organizations.
The star tweeted: “I just added an ALABAMA TOUR DATE TO LOUD TOUR…Monday, July 11th!!! This Concert Will Benefit Tornado Relief Efforts.”
The Bama Rising benefit June 14 raised about $2.2 million for tornado recovery. That show’s proceeds included $1.3 million in ticket sales.
