Occording to the Indianapolis Star new Indiana laws mandate that…
1. If you are a business owner you’ll need to confirm through the federal E-Verify system that your new employee is in the U.S. legally, or you could face the loss of various tax benefits.
2. Store owners must take “spice” off the shelves. It is illegal to distribute or possess synthetic marijuana, known as “K2” and “spice,” and it will be subject to the same legal penalties as the real drug.
3.The state is giving vouchers to students in Grades 1-12 who have spent at least one year in a public school to help pay for private-school tuition.
4.Drivers will be prohibited from typing, sending or reading text messages or emails on cell phones, unless on hands-free or voice-operated devices.
5. If you look at least 40 years old you aren’t legally required to show your ID to buy alcohol.
