Reunited and it feels so good!

If you liked The Best Man, you’ll LOVE The Best Man Holiday! Laced with drama, laughs, and tears, this movie is full of twists and turns from start to finish! It’s usually highly unlikely that the sequel tops the original, but I personally think it not only topped the first one, it surpassed it!

Yes the original crew is back plus a few new faces! The characters’ personalities also remain true to the original which is exactly why stuff hits the fan in this movie just as it did in The Best Man. I will say, as many funny moments as there are, there are just enough emotionally charged ones! Don’t worry though, “Q” (Terrence Howard) returns with just a much sarcasm and humor as before, so he definitely balances the mood. Ladies, I don’t know if it was just me, but my how Lance (Morris Chestnut) has aged- DAMN WELL! Be sure to bring a fan because he is hot chocolate!!! Warning: bring plenty of tissue because if you’re as emotional as I am, you’ll need it! Fellas no worries! As much as this movie can be considered a “chick flick,” it’s not. There’s plenty for you men to relate to and enjoy- beautiful women (they’ve all aged nicely), pride, sex, and brotherhood. Side note- you too may need a tissue or two.

Just as it did in the first, this movie gets physical in more ways than one so be ready for any & everything! Be prepared for a few underlying messages. One message I took from the film is “you never know what a person’s going through from the outside looking in.” Overall, the Best Man Holiday has a brilliant cast and excellent storyline full of betrayal, perception, trials, smiles, friendship, and love. I think one of Q’s original lines sums it up perfectly, “Bravo baby.”
