It’s kinda hard to believe that Usher’s been making music for 17 years now.

Wow, that just made me feel old…

Usher Raymond’s (that’s what he was calling himself back then) debut single, “Call Me A Mack,” was released in 1993 on the soundtrack to the Janet Jackson/Tupac Shakur film Poetic Justice when Usher was a mere 14 years old.  The song didn’t really do that well at the time and was quickly forgotten.

A year later, Usher’s self-titled album would be released on LaFace propelled by the hit singles “Can U Get Wit It,” “Think of You” and “The Many Ways” and little girls nationwide would find themselves under his spell from then on.
