Yesterday I reported that Colemans funeral was postponed due to his estranged parents and his ex-wife fighting in court over who should get his remains.  Now the parents, although estranged for many years, have released a statement on the issue.

Through their attorney, they released a statement saying they would no longer pursue a Formal Probate that would have challenged Coleman’s ex-wife’s plans to lay him to rest in Utah where he died.  The parents wanted to take his remains back to Illinois, his hometown, but have now changed their minds.

A spokesman for Coleman’s ex-wife, says the actor’s wishes are being fulfilled.  She tells Radaronline.com,”His wishes are very simple, and his wishes are listed in his will, so whatever they are will be honored, according to what is in the will.”

May he rest in peace.
